Announcing Envelope Precision: Weekly, Daily, and Paycheck percentage Funding

More Envelope funding options are now live in the app.

Updated over 9 months ago

Today we launched weekly, daily, and paycheck percentage envelope funding options in the app! Whether you're a meticulous planner or someone who loves spontaneous daily indulgences, these new features will empower you with unparalleled flexibility.

How it works:

Weekly funding

Plan your week ahead by allocating funds for categories like groceries, dining out, or entertainment. This feature is great for those reoccurring weekly expenses, i.e. instead of transferring $400 a month into your grocery envelope, you can transfer $100 each week. This not only lets you pace your budget more effectively throughout the month, but also lets you account for any fluctuations that take place month to month. All in all, this is a more granular budgeting approach and ensures you have the right amount for each week.

Daily funding

For those who prefer daily budgeting, Envelope lets you allocate funds on a daily basis. You can now have a fixed budget for your daily coffee or set aside a specific amount for lunch every day. This is budgeting that adapts to your daily money goals.

Percentage of every paycheck

Looking to set aside 10% of your paycheck into your Protected savings envelope each pay period? Or 5% into your travel goal? This is now possible inside Envelope. This feature is great for maintaining consistent financial principles even as your income fluctuates.

How to Get Started:

  1. Update your app: Make sure you have the latest version from the App Store

  2. Navigate to envelope settings: Find the Weekly, Daily, and Percentage options by editing an Envelope and tapping Add funding

  3. Allocate Funds: Set up your envelope to start allocating funds on a daily, weekly, or percentage basis

Update your app now and let us know how you are using these new features for your family's budget.
