Our Family Account feature allows you to add another person to your Envelope Money account. Family accounts are great for couples who would like to manage their household finances together.
Steps to Create a Family Account:
Download the Envelope Money iOS Application
One member of the Family/Joint account select Create Account and go through the entire account creation flow.
After you gain access to your main account screen, navigate to the Account tab on the button right hand corner.
Click into Account Details and you'll see a button that says Invite Partner.
Input your partners legal first name and phone number.
The other member of the account will then receive a text message inviting them to join the family account. They can now go through the Create Account flow and will be prompted to accept the account invite.
The first member of the family account will then be prompted to create a joint account in their Account Details tab.
With Family Accounts, you will each have your own physical card and card number, but the same overall bank account number. Once you add both users to the family account, you will be seeing, spending, and saving together! Both members can deposit, transfer, and withdraw money from the account.
