Signing up for an account with Envelope is easy!

Get started by downloading the Envelope iOS App.

It only takes a few minutes to apply, and most accounts are approved and opened the same day, if not immediately.

To sign up for an account, you'll need your name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth and Social Security Number handy. In some cases, we may ask you to provide additional information or documents to confirm your identity, but only when it’s absolutely necessary. If you are looking to bank with a partner, you will also need their information as well.

After creating your account, you’ll be prompted to deposit funds and begin structuring your budget! A virtual and physical card will be issued as soon as your account is opened. You can use the virtual card immediately for online purchases and also set up Apple/Google pay for in person use. An account and routing number will also be issued immediately to allow you to begin setting up direct deposit with your employer. Your physical card will be mailed to the address provided in sign up and can take 5-10 business days to arrive.
